THE city of Manila on Monday celebrated this year’s National Heroes' Day by organizing a job fair, a move aimed at providing “jobs and hopes” to Manila’s modern-day heroes.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the activity led by the Manila Public Employment Service Office (PESO) was not only a venue to open doors to employment opportunities for job seekers but also a commemoration.
“Sa Araw ng mga Bayani, trabaho’t pag-asa ang hatid ng PESO (This National Heroes Day, PESO brings jobs and hope)," Domagoso said, asking job hunters around the city to join.
Domagoso added that this day is not just about paying tribute to the country’s brave forebears but also to modern-day heroes, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The city government emphasized that National Heroes Day is a reminder of the bravery, sacrifices, and patriotism of Filipinos, urging citizens to embody the values of courage, unity, and love for the nation.

The job fair ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 5th Level, West Wing of SM Manila., This news data comes from:http://www.yamato-syokunin.com
